Welcome to Podcast Later (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using our services (collectively, “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Description of Service

Podcast Later enables you to save public web articles, blog posts, and other online content and convert them into private podcast episodes via text-to-speech. You can then listen to these episodes using your preferred podcast player application.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old—or the age of majority in your place of residence—to use our Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you must have the authority to accept these Terms on the organization’s behalf.

3. Accounts & Access

• Account Creation

  • To use Podcast Later, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

• Private Podcast Feed

  • Your subscription includes a private podcast feed URL. This URL is unique to you and should not be shared publicly.
  • Excessive or suspicious activity may lead us to change your private podcast URL or, in extreme cases, terminate your account.

4. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

• Prohibited Activities

  • You agree not to use our Services to:

    • Distribute content that violates any law or infringes upon any third party’s rights.
    • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful software.
    • Engage in spamming, phishing, or any other fraudulent or malicious activity.
    • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with our code or systems.

• Respecting Content Ownership

  • You agree to only save publicly accessible URLs to Podcast Later.
  • You acknowledge that some websites do not allow automated access or are restricted by paywalls, and Podcast Later may not support such sites.

• Sharing & Distribution

  • You agree not to share your private podcast feed with others or distribute its content publicly.
  • Any such sharing or distribution violates these Terms of Use and may result in immediate account termination.

5. Plans, Billing, and Cancellations

• Subscriptions

  • Podcast Later is a paid service. We do not offer a free tier.
  • Full pricing details are provided on our website.

• Upgrades & Downgrades

  • You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time by visiting your account page.

• Cancellations

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. You will continue to have access to the Services until the end of your current billing cycle.

• Refunds

  • We do not offer refunds once a billing cycle has started. If you cancel during a billing cycle, you will not be billed again after the cycle ends.

6. Intellectual Property

• Ownership

  • Podcast Later retains all rights to the technology, software, and content (excluding user-submitted content) used to provide the Service.
  • Any trademarks or logos displayed in connection with the Service are the property of their respective owners.

• User Content

  • You maintain ownership of any rights you hold in the URLs or content you submit.
  • By submitting content, you give Podcast Later a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to access, process, and convert that content into audio form solely for your personal use.

7. Privacy and Data

  • We respect your privacy. Please see our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

• Data Sharing

  • We do not resell or share your personal information or reading/listening habits.
  • We use third parties strictly to provide text-to-speech, payment processing, and email services.
  • By using our Services, you acknowledge and consent to these limited data-sharing practices.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Podcast Later is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the content processed through our Services. We specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Podcast Later and its owners, employees, or agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Services. This includes damages for errors, omissions, interruptions, or delays in transmitting information.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Podcast Later and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your breach of these Terms of Use.
• Your use or misuse of the Services.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, use the Service for illegal activities, or if we detect suspicious or excessive usage that suggests unauthorized sharing of your private podcast feed. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications will constitute your acknowledgment and acceptance of the changes.

13. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oregon, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
